Measurable. But limited duration.

The visual pace of Hong Kong is projected for the rest of the world to see. Not in fact a pace which has been chosen by or for its residents and with a fairly recent achitechtural history, Hong Kong is able to reclaim and rebuild almost any part of the city. With this in mind it continually re defines itself as being the 'City of the future'. It may be so, but the larger structures can be just as temporary as the makeshift ones.

So if the space that dictates the way you live is so frequently changed, does this leave a society with an unditermined past and future?
